United Nations Economic Commission for Africa Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

DNA Design & Project Management was awarded this tender after competing with 17 international designers for this prestigious project on the 14th march 2014 to design the interior space of the United Nations 8th floor of the executive secretary and the ground floor in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The project entailed a total gut of the existing interior & face lift of the entire project (lift lobbies, passages, boardrooms, conference rooms, waiting & pause areas) on a turn-key project value of $ 2.1 million (R29,8 million). The project had tight deadlines as the “Horn of Africa Summit” took place there during the last week of June attended by 27 countries from across the globe.

DNA completed the project to such high international standards that a 3 year exclusive interior design contract was awarded to DNA.

Please find reference letter attached from the Chief Supply Chain Manager George Ogboro.

The next phase of this project has just been awarded, and is currently in our design studio . It includes design and planning of the layout of two UNECA auditoriums, each seating 400+ people. These two spaces will be used for international conferences and events. The space to be created will be of the highest international standards and fully compliant with modern best practice standards.
